Garment District Apartments
Learn more about living in our Garment District apartments
New York City is one of the world’s top retail destinations, so it’s only fitting that the city’s fashion and clothing hub be named the Garment District. The relatively small area, which includes only about eight city blocks, is home to local fashion designers, plenty of Garment District apartments, wholesalers, industry manufacturers and seamstresses, all next to what many consider to be New York’s fashion Mecca: Bryant Park, site of the city’s famed Fashion Week. But even if you’re not interested in shopping and fashion, there is still plenty to do in the Garment District and nearby neighborhoods.
There’s a lot packed into our small neighborhood, from hidden gem restaurants and bars to luxe dining experiences with unforgettable skyline views, storefronts, live shows, public art, and the involved Garment District Alliance that continually invests money and efforts into making the area a better place for residents and visitors. The Garment District Alliance offers free neighborhood walking tours to learn the history of local businesses and Garment District apartments, giving people the inside scoop into one of NYC’s hottest, most desirable neighborhoods.
When in the Garment District, there are several must-do things to add to any agenda. Head over to Mood Fabrics, which you may already be familiar with if you watch “Project Runway,” and immerse yourself in the neighborhood’s famed industry; get your locally brewed java fix at Culture Espresso, just steps from Garment District apartments and hotels; enjoy a delicious dinner at the trendy (and upscale kosher) Abigael’s On Broadway; and end your day soaking in Big Apple views from one of our amazing rooftop decks. And when it comes to shopping, be sure to check out some of the Garment District’s incredible sample sales, which offer designer apparel and accessories for next-to-nothing prices.
Getting around the area is easy, thanks to New York’s famous transit lines and the Garment District’s proximity to the Lincoln Tunnel and riverfront thoroughfares. There are 11 major subway stations within steps of the neighborhood’s Garment District apartments and bus stops at almost every corner, making the area one of the most convenient places in the city. No matter where you’re going or how you want to spend your free time, the Garment District’s rich history, tight-knit community and involved neighborhood alliance is a fantastic place to call home, even if shopping isn’t your forte.
